Terms of Service

Last updated: August 29, 2026

The service

Tip Calendar is a personal income-tracking tool for tipped hospitality workers, primarily US restaurant servers and bartenders. It helps you record shifts, apply your restaurant's tip-out rules, and review net pay. It is not a payroll, tax-filing, or employer reporting product.

Your records

You are responsible for the accuracy of the hours, tips, and restaurant settings you enter. Tip Calendar calculations are estimates based on the configuration you provide. They are not legal, tax, or employment advice.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Tip Calendar app and website for your own shift tracking. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or use the product to build a competing service except as allowed by applicable law.

Availability

The app is provided as-is. We may update, pause, or discontinue features. Because records live on your device, export a JSON backup before switching phones or uninstalling.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tip Calendar is not liable for lost wages, tax outcomes, employment disputes, or lost local data. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim (currently $0).
